The Serious Allegations The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021. One senior prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.” Scope of the Police Inquiry These allegations come after what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley. The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January. List of Charges Prosecutors outline the forty-five charges comprise: 15 counts of assault. 17 counts of penetrative assault. Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13. Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration. 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
