The trio have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the last year. Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings. Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year. The finalists were announced live on a popular morning radio program. The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December. The show will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT. Michelle Agyemang Age: 19 Sport: Football A mere three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory. She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the last eight and last four matches. Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros. Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent. She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer. Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October. "Being nominated for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters." The Darts Prodigy Age: 18 Sport: Darts Littler kicked off the year in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history. He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final. His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown. And he wasn't finished there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion. At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record. "Being nominated for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts." The Cricket Sensation Age: 19 Sport: Cricket Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August. Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s. It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition. Perrin came in second place in the run-scoring charts and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player. "I'm incredibly grateful to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young females to get into cricket."
